Glycine – The amino acid for muscles & regeneration
The amino acid glycine has long been underestimated and is hardly a part of our daily diet – even though our body desperately needs it.
This is very controversial, as glycine is the second most common amino acid in our body and building material for our muscles, tendons, ligaments and organs.
At the same time, glycine is important for our immune system, our intestinal health and good regeneration.
Getting enough of it is essential for sustainable health. Glycine has a sweet taste and is therefore very suitable as a sugar substitute.
What is glycine?
Glycine is classified as a non-essential amino acid, as our body can produce a certain amount of it itself.
However, this process is quite energy-intensive – which is why our body only makes very little of it.
Glycine is found in high concentrations in collagen. Collagen, in turn, is the most common protein compound in our body!
In fact, glycine makes up 33% of collagen and, thanks to its physico-chemical properties, is the reason why connective tissue is strong – and at the same time so flexible.
Mode of action
Glycine is the smallest amino acid and a component of almost all body proteins.
The amino acid is mainly formed enzymatically in the mitochondria. Glycine stimulates the immune system, modulates the sensation of pain and memory and has an antioxidant effect.
In the central nervous system, glycine acts as a messenger substance with a GABA-like, inhibitory, i.e. dampening effect.
In the autonomic nervous system, this amino acid is a component of acetylcholine.
This neurotransmitter acts in the autonomic nervous system and glycine promotes its release.
However, it also acts as an excitatory transmitter, i.e. as a stimulating messenger substance, as a co-activator of NMDA receptors.
Dr. Klinghardt talks about glycine
Our bodies may contain more than 20,000 chemicals; two that are particularly dangerous to our brains are glyphosate and aluminum.
Glyphosate is an analog of the amino acid glycine1 and attaches itself to places where the body needs glycine.
Glycine is depleted during the detox process, which is why many people do not have enough glycine for effective detoxification.
According to Dr. Klinghardt, you need to saturate your body with glycine.
He recommends taking a teaspoon (4 grams) of glycine powder twice a day for a few weeks and then reducing the dose to a quarter teaspoon (1 gram) twice a day.
This will force the glyphosate out of the system and excrete it through the urine. Ingredients: 100% pure glycine The product is free from sugar, gluten, lactose and yeast, contains no superplasticizers, fillers, colours or flavors.
