Note: The product is mislabeled (600ppm), but the potency is 6000ppm! Do not be surprised when you receive the product.
A small ion that keeps entire biological systems running: 6000 ppm – ionic magnesium. From the nervous system and energy production to sleep, relaxation and muscle strength. Hardly any other element is needed in so many places in the body. Food is often not sufficient to cover the daily requirement. Supplements must be completely absorbable. Here we have a stabilized ionic product that could enable absorption at cell level. From the nervous system and energy production to sleep, relaxation and muscle strength. Description
The mineral for almost everything.
Magnesium is vital. And you may think you know how important it is, but I’m almost certain that you don’t, or at least not to that extent.
Magnesium is involved in more than 300 enzymatic processes in the body and is therefore essential not just for one area, but for all kinds of processes.
These are five main functions:
- Magnesium catalyzes most chemical reactions in the body;
- produces and transports energy;
- synthesizes proteins;
- transmits nerve signals;
- and relaxes the muscles.
It is easy to deduce that a magnesium deficiency can lead to a large number of health problems. What is certain is that a large proportion of modern society suffers from a deficiency, according to estimates it is 75% of Europeans – which is no small number.
These are the 52 common symptoms
Heartburn, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, diarrhea, intestinal disorders, poor nutrient absorption, adrenal insufficiency, thyroid problems, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, PMS, menstrual cramps, Alzheimer’s disease, brain dysfunction, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, irritability, insomnia, concentration problems, memory problems, nervousness, mood swings, sensitivity to noise, angina pectoris, high blood pressure, Cardiac arrhythmia, palpitations, arteriosclerosis, blood clots, cold hands and feet, dizziness, tightness in the chest, arthritis, joint pain, osteoporosis, back pain, muscle cramps, muscle twitching, Fibromyalgia, trembling, muscle stiffness, muscle tension, restless leg syndrome, asthma, allergies, shortness of breath, wheezing, hypersensitivity to strong odors, tinnitus, sensitivity to light, poor wound healing.
These are the 52 common symptoms. You can see how wide-ranging the clinical pictures are.
Magnesium from food – impossible?
Contrary to conventional wisdom, our physical well-being depends more directly on the minerals we put into our systems than on the calories, vitamins or exact proportions of starch, protein or carbohydrates we consume. Laboratory tests show that the fruits, vegetables, grains, eggs and even milk and meat of today are not the same as they were a few generations ago. No one today can eat enough fruit and vegetables to supply their stomach with the mineral salts they need for optimum health – because their stomach is not big enough! And we are becoming a nation with big stomachs.
Many experts doubt that the recommended daily dose is sufficient to prevent magnesium deficiency. Trendy diets offer no solution here – on the contrary. The paleo diet, for example, prohibits grains, which increases the risk of a deficiency. In addition, it is often concealed that a high-protein diet requires more magnesium for digestion.
A diet high in sugar and other simple carbohydrates also carries the risk of magnesium deficiency. As Natasha Campbell-McBride writes in her book “Gut and Psychology Syndrome”, published in 2010, 28 magnesium atoms are needed to process one molecule of glucose. If you want to break down a molecule of fructose, you need 56 magnesium atoms. This extremely unbalanced equation cannot work in the long term.
Even raw foodists are not immune!
Yes, you too! Even raw foodists or people who eat green juices are not immune to magnesium deficiency. Magnesium is the central mineral in “plant blood” – chlorophyll – just as iron is in haemoglobin. You would therefore think that a diet rich in green vegetables would cover your magnesium requirements. But far from it. There are people who drink more than 3 liters of organic green juices per day and still suffer from magnesium deficiency, which manifests itself in heart palpitations and leg cramps. Once again:
If the food you eat is grown on mineral-poor soil, this food will automatically lead to mineral deficiencies.
Probably the most important task of magnesium:
Magnesium is a cofactor for ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and enzymes from the ATPase group.
The ATP produced in the mitochondria is the main energy source of our cells and must be bound to a magnesium ion (Mg-ATP) in order to become biologically active. Since ATP is produced in each of our 100 trillion cells, we need a good amount of magnesium.
Magnesium and blood circulation
There are interesting studies that show a geographical link between the frequency of strokes and water hardness: Fewer strokes are said to occur in areas with magnesium-rich water than in regions with soft, magnesium-poor water.
On the subject of strokes: a meta-analysis of data from 240,000 patients showed that the risk of stroke can be reduced by 8% for every 100 mg of daily magnesium intake. Those who took in the recommended additional 300 mg of magnesium per day were thus able to reduce the risk of stroke by 24%.
Ischemic strokes in particular, which are caused by reduced blood flow to the brain, occur less frequently with a good magnesium supply.
Magnesium and relaxation
Does magnesium help you fall asleep and stay asleep?
The question makes sense, as magnesium deficiency is associated with high stress, difficulty relaxing and increased anxiety, which are the main causes of sleep disorders. Restless leg syndrome also prevents many people from sleeping. There is a small study on this: 43 older adults were given magnesium before sleeping. Of those who took the dietary supplement, most fell asleep more quickly and also spent more time sleeping. Another study showed that restless legs syndrome can be treated with magnesium supplements.
The right amount of magnesium seems to support relaxation and help people to make better use of their natural sleep rhythms.
Incidentally, vitamin C does not work in the body if there is a magnesium deficiency.
Magnesium and nerve damage?
Magnesium is involved in over 300 enzyme systems in the body, including the nervous system. Studies show that it is essential for the transmission of electrical signals between the nerves – with far-reaching positive effects.
The Peripheral Neuropathy Foundation has found that magnesium can help patients with chemotherapy-induced neuropathy – nerve damage outside the brain and spinal cord that causes pain, numbness and weakness.
In addition, the trade journal Nutrients which found that people with higher magnesium levels were less likely to suffer from neuropathy. Observing the benefits of magnesium in patients with neuropathy shows us that this mineral can support healthy nerve function.
Magnesium deficiency and chronic stress
Current studies show that even a short-term magnesium deficiency can significantly reduce glutathione levels in heart and certain body cells. These cells activate nitric oxide synthases that protect DNA. The results support the assumption that magnesium deficiency can promote mutations in various cell types.
Why ionic magnesium is the most absorbable magnesium
With minerals, the more stable they are, the better they can be absorbed by the body. If a mineral ion remains unbound for longer, the likelihood of it entering the cell increases.
The special thing about this magnesium is its unique stabilization process, which enables complete absorption at cell level.
