NatuGena® – Lysine 3000
The amino acid contributes to the formation of enzymes, hormones and antibodies.
As these have a very large effect on the body, for example a deficiency of a certain hormone, the spectrum of action of the product is quite large.

Description
Lysine 3000
In addition to general protein synthesis, the essential amino acid L-lysine is particularly needed in the body during the growth phase, at an advanced age and during sport.
Lysine 3000 is a high-dose bioidentical lysine formulation with which the daily lysine requirement is sufficiently covered.

What is lysine actually?
Lysine is an essential amino acid that is needed in the body to build muscle and other amino acids.
Because of its L-shaped appearance, it is actually called L-lysine, but in everyday use it is just called lysine.
The amino acid contributes to the formation of enzymes, hormones and antibodies.
It also supports bone growth, cell division and wound healing.
Lysine cannot be produced by the body on its own and must therefore be taken in through food or supplements.
Lysine effect
L-lysine is primarily responsible for the formation of hormones, antibodies and enzymes.
It is an important building block of connective tissue, especially collagen.
Collagen is an important component of:
- Skin
- Bones
- Tendons
- Walls of the blood vessels
Therefore, L-lysine deficiency – just like vitamin C deficiency – can lead to connective tissue weakness.
This is often noticeable in sagging and sallow skin.
But lysine also has other important functions.
It is responsible for shiny hair and promotes the storage of calcium in the bones and teeth and protects against susceptibility to stress and resorption.
It is therefore considered an effective agent against arteriosclerosis.
A diet rich in lysine can also be beneficial for patients at risk of osteoporosis.
Lysine plays a major role in cell division and the growth of new cells.
At the same time, it also supports the immune system and fends off viruses.
It is precisely this combination that makes it so valuable in the fight against cold sores. As early as 1952, studies showed that a high concentration of lysine greatly reduces the growth of herpes viruses. In the study, the test subjects were given 3000 mg of L-lysine daily as soon as they had the first symptoms. Both itching, blister formation and the duration of the herpes outbreak were greatly improved.(1) Furthermore, it supports the absorption of calcium from the intestine and is involved in the formation of L-carnitine.
Lysine deficiency
Poor concentration, tiredness, red eyes, dizziness and nausea can be signs of a lysine deficiency.
Lysine also stimulates the production of gastric juice (heartburn…).
Older people often have an increased requirement.
