Description

BactoGena Forte 21 – Support for healthy intestinal flora

BactoGena Forte 21 contains 21 high-dose intestinal bacteria strains of the genera Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium.
These lactic acid and bifidobacteria are among the “good” intestinal bacteria that colonize the human intestine and perform essential functions there.
While the lactic acid bacteria are mainly found in the small intestine, the bifidobacteria colonize the large intestine.
The different types of these bacterial strains each have their own specific properties.
They are able to produce enzymes that are necessary for the digestion of food residues.
Since each person’s intestinal flora is unique, the composition of the bacterial strains in the intestine can vary greatly.
However, good intestinal bacteria all share an important function: they can take the place of harmful bacteria and thus prevent them from colonizing or displace existing harmful bacteria.

The gut – a personal fingerprint

Ideally, the human microbiome comprises up to 2,000 different species of bacteria that colonize the gut.
Each of these bacterial species has its own role in the balance of this system.
However, the composition of the intestinal flora varies from person to person – like a fingerprint.
Unlike a fingerprint, however, the microbiome changes constantly over the course of a person’s life.
Factors such as diet, lifestyle, underlying illnesses and contact with harmful substances influence the diversity and stability of the intestinal flora.

Inulin as a dietary fiber for healthy bacteria

The formula of BactoGena Forte 21 is rounded off by the addition of inulin, a well-known dietary fiber.
Dietary fiber serves as food for the good intestinal bacteria and is converted into a range of useful nutrients.
Fiber is essential for healthy digestion and promotes intestinal movement (motility).
It also helps to regulate a healthy gut flora by serving as food for the symbiotic gut bacteria and promoting their growth.
Healthy gut flora is essential for maintaining a strong immune system and preventing disease.
Lactic acid-producing bacteria in particular play a central role in healthy intestinal flora.
The more diverse the bacterial composition, the better!
In addition to the classic genera of lactobacillus and bifidobacteria, special strains of bacteria also benefit from an increased intake of dietary fiber.

Which bacteria are good for what?

Some examples that are included in the product…

Lactobacillus strains:

  1. Lactobacillus acidophilus: Function: Supports the digestion of lactose (milk sugar) and promotes the production of lactic acid, which acidifies the intestinal environment and inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria. Benefit: Helps prevent and relieve diarrhea, flatulence and irritable bowel symptoms. Missing population: People with lactose intolerance often have a deficiency of L. acidophilus.
  2. Lactobacillus plantarum: Function: Protects the intestinal mucosa and can reduce inflammatory processes in the intestine.
Involved in the breakdown of dietary fiber.

Benefit: Supports the immune system and helps fight harmful bacteria such as Helicobacter pylori. Missing population: People with inflammatory bowel disease or gastrointestinal complaints may have a deficiency.
  3. Lactobacillus casei: Function: Promotes digestion and protection of the intestinal flora, especially in times of stress or with an irregular diet. Benefit: Helpful in relieving diarrhea, especially from antibiotics. Missing population: People with irritable bowel syndrome or frequent diarrhea often have lower levels.
  4. Lactobacillus gasseri: Function: Regulates body weight and supports healthy fat burning. Benefit: Helps achieve and maintain a healthy weight and supports the reduction of abdominal fat. Missing population: People with obesity or metabolic problems may have a deficiency.
  5. Lactobacillus rhamnosus: Function: Promotes intestinal health and fights harmful microorganisms. Benefit: Useful in the prevention and treatment of vaginal infections and urinary tract infections, regulates weight. Missing population: People with bacterial infections in the urogenital tract or overweight

Bifidobacterium strains:

  1. Bifidobacterium breve: Function: Helps with the digestion of fiber and the production of vitamins. Benefit: Supports healthy intestinal flora and protects against gastrointestinal diseases. Missing population: People with digestive problems and irritable bowel symptoms.
  2. Bifidobacterium longum: Function: Promotes digestion and strengthens the immune system. Benefit: Useful in relieving diarrhea and constipation and in the production of B vitamins. Missing population: People with digestive problems or a weakened immune system.
  3. Bifidobacterium lactis: Function: Supports the immune system and promotes healthy digestion. Benefit: Helps relieve irritable bowel symptoms and promotes overall digestive health. Missing population: People with irregular digestion and weak immune systems.

Streptococcus and Pediococcus strains:

  1. Streptococcus thermophilus: Function: Promotes the digestion of dairy products and supports the intestinal environment. Benefit: Helpful in the production of yoghurt, strengthens the immune system. Missing population: People with lactose intolerance or frequent gastrointestinal complaints.
  2. Pediococcus acidilactici: Function: Supports fermentation and helps stabilize the digestive tract. Benefit: Useful in maintaining a healthy gut. Missing population: People with intestinal dysbiosis or digestive problems.

Lactococcus strains:

  1. Lactococcus lactis: Function: Promotes the fermentation of dairy products and improves intestinal health. Benefit: Supports general digestion and the immune system. Missing population: People with digestive problems or a deficiency of lactic acid bacteria.

Additional component: Inulin

  • Function: Inulin is a prebiotic fiber that promotes the growth of “good” intestinal bacteria by serving as food for them.
  • Benefit: Promotes healthy intestinal flora and improves digestion.
  • Missing population: People with a low-fiber diet.

Who may have a reduced bacterial diversity?

The
bacterial diversity in the gut can be reduced in different groups of people:

  • People who frequently take antibiotics, as antibiotics kill both harmful and beneficial bacteria.
  • People with an unbalanced or low-fiber diet that does not sufficiently support the growth of certain bacteria.
  • People with chronic digestive problems, autoimmune diseases or metabolic disorders may have an imbalance in their intestinal flora.
  • Infants and older people can also have a reduced bacterial diversity, as the microbiome changes over the course of life.

Consumption recommendation

For optimum effect, take 1 capsule once a day, ideally 30 minutes before or 90 minutes after a meal, with 250 ml of still, lukewarm water.
